These visual cue cards are designed primarily for classroom instruction, intervention, retrieval practice, and review. They should not be assumed to qualify as supplemental aids during a STAAR assessment.
Texas has specific requirements governing supplemental aids used as designated supports. Student eligibility, routine use, documentation, the format of the aid, and local approval requirements must all be considered.
Before using any resource from this collection during a state assessment, review the current Texas Education Agency accessibility guidance and consult your district or campus testing coordinator.
Meeting the format requirements for a supplemental aid does not make a resource automatically allowable for every student.

Start with the all-strands overview or the measurement formula reference, then jump to the strand you're teaching. Each concept card is a one-page visual cue you can hand out, project, or tape into a notebook. Most concept cards also offer a 4-page activity packet (Retrieve · Apply · ACE · teacher key). The count updates from the manifest.
Classroom use: These printables are designed for instruction and review. Do not assume they are permitted during STAAR testing. Check current TEA guidance and local testing requirements before using one as an assessment accommodation.
Five ways to use them
- Anchor the rule — integer signs and order of operations become a picture, not a paragraph.
- Make proportional reasoning visual — ratios, unit rate, and percent bars as quick retrieval cues.
- Keep the reference handy — one page of measurement formulas for problem solving and classroom review.
- Support intervention & stations — one card per skill for small groups, tutoring, and warm-ups.
- Build the cue during instruction — introduce visual cues during teaching, retrieval practice, intervention, and classroom assessment so students learn to use them independently.
The visual should help students retrieve a relationship they already understand — not replace the understanding. Routine classroom use alone does not make a resource allowable during STAAR: test-day use is a separate decision governed by current TEA eligibility, documentation, format, and local approval requirements.
For STAAR Testing
- These printables were created primarily for classroom teaching, intervention, and review.
- Some current classroom versions contain labels, explanations, formulas, definitions, color coding, mnemonics, or other information that may not be permitted on a STAAR supplemental aid.
- Do not assume that a classroom visual support is allowable during state testing.
- Review current TEA accessibility guidance before using any resource during STAAR.
- Consult the district or campus testing coordinator when determining whether an aid is appropriate for a particular student.
- A resource that follows TEA formatting rules is not automatically allowable for every student.
A future set of aids designed to follow current TEA supplemental-aid format guidance is coming later. Final student eligibility and use remain subject to current TEA and local testing requirements.
