What are the staff work hours?
Staff are expected to sign in and be at their assigned places by 7:30 a.m.; Educational Associates by 7:15 a.m. The typical workday is 7:25 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; Educational Associates work 7:15 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Staff may need to remain for required meetings and events.

When must suspected child abuse, neglect, or trafficking be reported?
The employee must make the report no later than 48 hours after first suspecting abuse or neglect. The duty cannot be delegated, and the employee may not rely on the campus to report on the employee’s behalf.

How do I report a work-related accident or injury?
Report the injury immediately to your supervisor, then to the Business Manager. Also inform Ms. Caldwell or a leadership-team member. Accidents must be reported within 24 hours.

What should I do when a scholar becomes ill?
Send the scholar to the clinic with a clinic pass. The nurse is the only person at school who can send a scholar home for illness. Teachers and scholars may not call a parent for pickup without the nurse’s permission.

What are the rules for classroom celebrations and birthday treats?
Without prior principal approval, three classroom parties per year are allowed. Birthday treats must comply with nutrition rules, be store-bought, and be served during the last few minutes of the school day. Special deliveries remain in the office until the end of the instructional day.

How many grades are required each six weeks?
Teachers must collect at least two daily formative grades per week, totaling 12 per six-week period, and three major summative grades per six-week period. Daily grades are 35% and major grades are 65% of the six-weeks grade.

What happens after a scholar receives a failing grade?

When are progress reports and parent contacts required?
