The TEKS and ELPS correlations here are described at the strand/domain level and are marked Needs review — confirm exact student-expectation codes against your district's current adoption. Each room's Teacher Guide lists the specific Common Core (CCSS) codes it targets.

Every room uses the same ten-part structure. Each part develops specific skills that align across frameworks.

Texas TEKS · English Language Arts & Reading
Across grades 6–12, PlotPoint rooms address the recurring ELAR strands (19 TAC Chapter 110). Specific student expectations vary by grade and course — confirm against your adoption.
Texas 2026 collection status: the planned poem, scripture, public-domain short-story, and speech/document rooms are complete in seven languages. The remaining expansion phase is 14 long works—novels, plays, autobiography, criticism, and selection-scoped nonfiction—to be developed and reviewed one at a time.
- Developing & sustaining foundational language skills — vocabulary study, listening, and academic discussion.
- Comprehension — self-monitoring, making inferences, and using evidence (Relic Room, Crack the Case).
- Response skills — interacting with sources and responding through writing and discussion (Analyze, Extend).
- Author's purpose & craft — analyzing structure, point of view, and rhetorical choices (Analyze, Arcade).
- Composition — planning and writing evidence-based responses (Analyze, Extend, Print).
- Inquiry & research — generating questions and gathering evidence, including responsible tool use (Gen AI Partner).
- Multiple genres — fiction, drama, poetry, memoir, argument, and informational texts across the collection.

Texas ELPS · English Language Proficiency Standards
PlotPoint is built to widen access for emergent bilingual students, supporting all four ELPS language domains.
Listening

Seven-language interface (English, Spanish, Vietnamese, Arabic, Hindi, Urdu, Chinese) with full right-to-left support for Arabic and Urdu widens access at every proficiency level.
Needs review: ELPS proficiency-level descriptors (beginning, intermediate, advanced, advanced high) should be matched to your students. Machine-assisted translations are flagged for human review.
